Black Myth: Wukong is the first major game delayed from 2023 to 2024

Black Myth: Wukong was first revealed back in 2020, already showcasing incredibly realistic and well-designed visuals from Unreal Engine 5, and since then it has been releasing more gameplay videos and updates on its development. But we will still have to wait more than a year to know the final result.

This souls-style game is developed by a Chinese studio called Game Science, and one of its distinguishing features (in addition to the incredible graphics) is its setting based on a traditional Chinese mythical story of the Monkey King, called Journey to the West, published in the 16th century.

The action RPG could actually be the start of a new game franchise from Game Science, who plans to create other titles and expand the game universe exploring traditional Chinese tales and creating the new Black Myth game series.

The release date for Black Myth: Wukong was uncertain, but we expected the game to launch in 2023. Now with this new announcement we have a more solid release window for the title, the North American summer of 2024, that is, the period near the middle of the year between June 21 and September 23.
